Safty Pin Bracelet

Materials Needed:

Safety pins (up to 84 per)

Beads that fit on pins

Elastic

Scissors

Tape

Small plate or bowl

Description:

1.  Fill half of the pins (about 42 is a good number) with beads. Some people then put a dab of glue on the pins to keep them from accidentially opening. I don't do this and have never had any problems.

2.  Tape the ends of the elastic and thread the pins alternating between empty and full pins. Empty pins should always face one direction while the full pins face the other so, in the end, the pin heads create a silver border.

3.  Cut the "U" in the elastic and tie the ends, being careful not to stretch the elastic too tight.

4.  Wear your bracelet, make bracelets for others, and  feel good about what a cool person you are.

Additional Resources:

Ria's Safty Pin BraceletSuggests using larger beads between the safty pins, requiring less pins and time.

Include originial, celtic, native american, etc. designs in your bracelet by graphing out the design first. Figure out how many beads will fit on each pin, note all the colors of beads you have, and fill in the graph before you begin.
